Man tried to abduct girls

A man approached three girls and tried to abduct one of them as they walked through Hartley Wintney on Sunday.

The girls, aged 12 and 13, were in the village centre when they were approached by a white man.

The man later grabbed one of the girls but her friends were able to fight him off and all three ran away.

Police would like to hear from anyone who can help them identify the man.

He is described as 6ft tall with flat black hair, broad shoulders, about 30 and was clean shaven.

At the time he was wearing a grey or white baggy T-shirt tucked into dark blue tracksuit bottoms and he had wraparound style sunglasses.

He also spoke with a foreign accent and he had a grey or blue sporty looking car with two doors and three vents on the side.
