Help improve the quality of life for home’s residentsI am writing on behalf of Fairways care home which is part of SeeAbility, the operating name for the Royal School for the Blind. Our residents range in age from 41 to 78 and are visually impaired with learning difficulties.
We need volunteers who can spare a few hours a week to provide companionship. Our residents love to go for a walk, bake cakes, shop, discover new hobbies, go to the cinema or pop down the pub for a pint. The list is endless.
Volunteers will become part of a small community. They will make new friends, have access to training, and will help bring a better quality of life to others.
If you would like to help, please phone me on 01252 815256 or email on ruhutton@seeability.org. I am more than happy to answer any questions. All our volunteers undertake a criminal record bureau disclosure check and must be aged 18 years or over.
