Traffic problems in rat-run lane getting worseThe review of local roads is well overdue. Many residents living on Crondall Road in Crookham Village have written both to the police and Hart District Council about the speed of cars on our road.
This road is a lane and still has all the features of a lane. It is narrow with no footpaths. It is poorly lit and has uphill blind corners. It has become a rat-run in order to get to the A287. The recent and ongoing developments have made matters much worse and the near misses and volume of traffic have to be seen to be believed.
There is also a weight restriction that is continually ignored by lorries. With the Hitches Lane and Queen Elizabeth Barracks developments, the future looks very bleak in this conservation area.
